This dish dryer was designed to go with the polychromie tableware in the kitchen of the Appartement 50 of the Cité Radieuse. The kitchen counter of the apartment is in cast aluminium and to protect the metal from a chemical reaction when in contact with the steel dish rack, its bottom is rubber coated.
The shape is inspired by milk bottle baskets and I chose this reference to suggest that the plates can be carried in the basket to go for a picnic on the roof top terrace.
