camper store : a film set

The Majorcan shoe brand camper collaborated with ECAL on an interdisciplinary project to shoot a short film, staged in a mock- up of their shop. Under the supervision of Bethan Laura Wood, a London based designer, we developed a concept around two-way mirrors. On one side the customer can see themselves and on the other, the passers by would see the customers through the mirror from the street. We wanted a striking yet simple stage, playing with the perspective and very few colours.

Our concept was selected and built as a film set. The film director, Jan Czarlewski, wrote “training”, a short sketch with this visual effect at the heart of the story. The film was presented at the Milan Furniture Fair in 2014.
